I really, really want to like Julio Teheran...he's got all the talent in the world and seems really likable, but he has no mental toughness. The umps were screwing him and his defense isn't helping him, so he just gets mad an throws meatballs. It's hard to watch...

Trade outs for runs early on. I think most guys would try to get a DP on what seemed to be a routine groundball.

Robbie Ray destroyed by a liner hit back up the middle by Luke Voit. The ball caromed off Ray's head and was caught by Descalso for an out near 3rd base.

Needless to say it was an early exit for Ray. Hopefully all of his head tests come back negative.

Nope. Not happening.

I do like the fact that the Cubs' only weakness since the ASB is nobody starters like Miguel Gonzalez and Brent Suter. In this era of velocity, still can't underestimate the ability of a pitcher to place the ball where he wants it.

Statcast says 449 ft for the Baez homer. 112 MPH / 30 degree launch. Pat Hughes is pondering whether he's seen a longer home run to that part of Miller Park before.

Bryant still not right from that hand injury I don't think. Tons of weak contact for him lately. Very unusual.
