    What a blast.

Gets in the lineup even though he's not catching and hits a monster jack.

Wieters tossed in between innings, after a backwards K on Heyward.

      Interesting

Didn't seem that heated until after he tossed him. Must have said a magic word.

Yeah the guy on the first base side made some nice plays. Snagged a line drive earlier in the game and just now picked that hard one-hopper.

Tying run up after back to back walks with 1 out.

Difo K's and it's up to Harper. Strikeout, Cubs win!

Wade Davis K's Bryce Harper on a curveball to end it and the Cubs are flying the W for the first time in 4 games. Woo.

Probably an at-bat with future playoff implications.

Travis Shaw just got drilled in the face by the catcher's throw on a steal attempt. Coming out of the game.

                            Thankfully, just a neck contusion.

                            That could have been worse.

Pitching and not hitting, helping the Brewers stay close to the Cubs.

Um, that Liriano acquisition is looking pretty bad for the Astros right now.

Taylor's not going to keep playing like this, but the overall package is good enough that he can settle into a nice ~+3 win player.

I don't understand the Trayce Thompson comparison either. Thompson's never had a season this good and his skill-set is very different from Taylor's.
The Thompson comparison isn't based on the similarity to the two and their careers. Both came to the Dodgers in their mid-20's and hadn't done much of anything. Thompson went off in the first few months last year for LA before cooling off, but he was revelation after the White Sox had basically told him to go away.

I could see Taylor falling off as Thompson did...he's hot now, but it will be interesting to see if he is a legit major leaguer. The one difference between Taylor and Thompson, and it's significant, is that Taylor raked in the minors and Thompson didn't. Even though it was the PCL, Taylor's minor league numbers make be believe his bat will continue to play.
