I just noticed that the Tigers recently passed the White Sox for worst record in the AL. While the Giants and Phillies slug it out in the NL. The race to the bottom for the #1 pick is shaping up nicely.

Aaron Hicks returns and robbed a grand slam. Probably one of the better catches you'll see all year.

          Here's a surprising stat.

Andrew McCutchen just hit his first career grand slam.

Ian Happ is not a good defensive player. Also, Mike Freeman is playing tonight, ugh.

Ummm, about that. This 3-0 deficit to STL in the 1st inning would beg to differ with you.

meh Addi or Javy at SS It's only a 1-0 deficit and that really wouldn't change my opinion because prior to injury and after Jake has been much better that's all i was referencing with "Good Jake".

Already 3 triples in Cubs-Cards tonight. We're in the 2nd inning.

Not saying hitting Carlos Martinez is supposed to be easy, but when you load the bases with nobody out in a potential clincher and proceed to strikeout, strikeout, groundout and not score with Zobrist/Bryant/Rizzo--that's bad baseball.

Catcher's gear needs to be made better. No reason that Willson Contreras taking foul balls off the knee guard should do so much damage. Make the pads a bit thicker.

Not really possible.. the shin guards have to be able to flex with crouching, so they need to be somewhat pliable. You add too much thickness, and catchers won't be able to move as well and would be pretty uncomfortable in their crouch.

Story of the season...up 3-0 in the 7th, lose 4-3 on a walk off. Good job, Braves.

So, J.D. Martinez has 28 homers. No, check that, that's 28 just since joining the D'Backs at midseason.
