    Cubs v Cards for Arrietta?

If you're the Cubs I think you gotta give him an offer high enough that, if the Cards trump it (which one would assume they would), you force them into a burdensome contract.

I'd like to see the Cubs get him for 2, plus a player option...or 3 plus a club...but it's hard to gauge what kind of money he really wants. It can't be the silly numbers previously published.
    Australian Rules Football...just sayin'

What you heard was a sports writer assuming he still feels that way.
I live in Cincy and follow the Red religiously and I am quite sure they would trade him for the right deal.
I know the manager and GM want to play Winker next year everyday.
For that to happen you sit either Schebler or Hamilton or trade Hamilton.

I just seen a report and thought it was interesting. And if they keep him, i think Schebler sits obviously, but they have to trade him. SF is the perfect fit i believe but even i wouldn't settle for anything that doesnt include Ramos

The only Reds player that should be there for life is Joey Votto.

Seems like an unusual pick to make a "Team X 4 Lyfe" statement on.

...and with that contract, he most likely will be.

Maybe would've been more appropriate in Off Topic, I'm not sure, but Dave Cameron is leaving fangraphs to help build out a Research and Development department for the Padres. I thought that was pretty cool to hear.

Whitley is off the table... Sounds like Kyle Tucker and Derek Fisher to Pirates.

Glad Cashman didn't give in to the Cole demands. On the flip side the Astros are still the team to beat. While I'm not sold on Cole being a frontline guy you can trust. He doesnt even have to with the Astros, he just makes that rotation so much deeper. And he can be Ace-like at times.

Other news. Castro wants out of Miami lol. Asked for a trade.

Concession workers probably want out of Miami too.
