Ya, we have talked a lot about the slow market and put a lot of it at the feet of GM's, but some of this is on the players. There are offers out there (at least rumored to be) and guys aren't taking them. I don't see Darvish getting $30M/year, but maybe he thinks he's worth it.

        Well that's an unfortunate typo.

I assume it's like SB Nation or any other sports news website.

On an aging middle infielder that is over paid. Don't get me wrong. I'm well aware of the issues with Mets ownership. But this move or non move was right.

They went ahead got Bruce back on the cheap. And I think they should try and get Nunez or Frazier on a 1-2 year deal.

I think this augers well for the future of Donaldson in Toronto IF the Jays can remain in contention. The fact that they avoided arbitration is huge for me as it means there's still lines of communication between the team and his agent. That being said, he's going to test the market fully next offseason but depending on how things go performance wise for the Jays they will have a decent shot at bringing him back on a free agent deal.

For me it's as simple as 9 on 9. You pitch, you're on the field, you hit when your team is up.

The concept doesn't even make sense to me.

                        Keuchel avoided arbitration, too. $13.2M.

I think Neil Huntington needs to start going to the MLB the show trade discussion thread for advice from now on

I was hoping the Yanks got Cole but not for what the Pirates wanted. But looking at what the Pirates got I don't think it was that fantastic.
