I have no desire to have Castellanos. His glove is awful...I just haven't been a fan of him.

Braves acquire Shane Carle from the Pirates...the pieces are now in place; Nationals, here we come.

At some point Martinez and Boras need to realize they're not going to get more than 5 years or anything dramatically over 100 mil. They might as well bite the bullet and sign. It's not like it's a paltry offer.

I hear they didn't mind adding Nimmo. It was when the Pirates asked if Wilpon could "spare some change" that totally derailed the talks.

Surprised slightly that red sox are still fine throwing big offers at free agents given their recent history with names like Sandoval and Price not exactly panning out.

You're surprised that a team with infinite love in its city and in a big market is still giving out big money deals?

According to Peter Gammons, Miami is asking for Acuna from Atlanta in any trade involving Yelich. Obvioulsy, Braves have and will continue to say no as they should

Ya, that's a hard pass...I think Acuna's floor would be Yelich, but I could be wrong.

Seriously. They have the funds, they need a bat and the fans will buy in to almost anything they do.

Are they just supposed to say “Eh. Pablo, AGon, Crawford didn’t work out so let’s just not try and improve our team if it means giving out money.”

FA signings not so much, but trade wise they've done great job.

Hell I would do it. You got a CF in Inciarte locked up. Yelich has the arm for Rf and has long term contract. Just as long with keep Albies.

Low level prospects or expiring contract. Maybe an aging Markakis. Castellnos can also play the corner OF spots.
