Indians and Os had discussed a Machado trade last month. Centerpiece rumored to have been Salazar.

Brewers are close to making some sort of trade.

Sounds like some outfielders could be on the move.

Would be interesting to see if the Red Sox or Rangers put in a bid for Braun. Even at his age, his swing is designed for those two left field fences (and New York when traveling in the AL East, or Houston in the AL West).

I personally wouldn't want him in Boston (my favorite AL team) either. I'm just saying that it would be interesting if they put in a bid for him if the Brewers are trying to deal out the OF.

Braun doesn't seem like the kind of guy who could succeed in that pressure cooker that's the Boston market anyways. Just look how he reacted when the PED stuff came out about him. He not only acted like a jerk but his performance fell off a cliff.

Again, totally don't disagree. I don't control MLB front offices, though. I don't think a team like the Royals or the Mets are trying to pursue Braun if Milwaukee is shopping him, know what I mean? You'd have to look at contenders whose rivals (Yanks, Angels) are stepping up this offseason.

Personally, I'd just like for him to stay in Milwaukee. Makes him more obsolete, as needed. Lots of players took steroids, many have denied it as well... but nobody, not even A-Rod, has thrown others under the bus like Braun did. I don't need him to go away, but I don't need him to step into the limelight again either.

He has always been a pretty good hitter, though. .300+ career average is no fluke, that's for sure. He's on the back nine though and who knows how far he could plummet.

FWIW, the Yankees traded for him in my Sox franchise.

How did he do? or you don't have access to that info?

I'm not sure when he was traded, or what his stats were beforehand, but as of right now (116 games into the season) he's hitting .314 with 21 homers.

In real news, it's starting to appear that the Milwaukee move includes Ellsbury.

Ive heard that as well, but know how true... Jacoby has full no trade and I cant see him waiving for Milwaukee.

What Ive read... "Multiple" trades that are separate from this one are in place as well. Trades will happen dependent upon this (A.) move and possibly other free agent moves. Multiple trades are already agreed upon, but only to happen if (A) happens.

And rumor has it, we have offered a 5 or 6 year deal to Darvish.

Rumors are floating around that is upcoming week could be the start of guys signing. A few execs told Jon Morosi that someone is going to cave in weather it be teams or the players. Like 20 something days left until Pitchers and Catchers report and just over a month until actually games start being played.

I don't even know how that rumor comes about. Who on earth in a front office position would leak to a reporter: "Meh, we don't want to sign him this week. Let's... let's wait till next week. Yeah. Tell them that. We're going to start signing next week. Doing it this week wouldn't make much sense. No one else is doing till next week either, that's what they told us. So we can wait. Go tell the public. Spread that rumor."
