I don't see the Cardinals giving up 2 young arms.

I see a combination of a young arm and outfielders. Maybe other parts as well.

Cards could look to unload either Grichuk or Piscotty in this potential deal

      Dodgers decline Andre Either's option.

      Not surprising.

I really expect Either to retire.

I'll miss him. My very first professional autograph came from him and Juan Pierre back in the day.

Sucks his back and leg injuries have derailed him the last 2 years. He had a pretty good 2015. I hope he latches on somewhere weather it be in the AL to DH and platoon, or even go to AZ and be a guy off the bench on occasion. I wish him nothing but the best.

You think your Cards take a run at Arrieta, Darvish, or Hosmer?

                      I don't think so.

I expect Carpenter will be the everyday 1B this year and I'm not sure that they want to commit the kind of money Arrieta and Darvish will require to starting pitching, especially when they have young arms in the system.

I fully expect them to make a run at Stanton. Whether they can actually do something or be willing to part with the prospects required remains to be seen.

What do the Brewers do you think?

Makes sense and I won't be surprised to see Stanton patrolling RF next year... Will suck having him in the Central, but I can see it.

Here's what I think the Brewer do...

                        - Bring back Walker to solidify 2B
                        - Go after a couple bullpen arms to setup Knebel (Reed, Morrow or Shaw as the big signing)
                        - Maybe 1 SP (I wouldnt mind taking a flier on Lynn or Cobb since Nelson will be out probably til AS break)

Tony Massarotti was on MLB Network "Hot Stove" this morning.
He claims that David Price is very unhappy in Boston and it affected the clubhouse, particularly, the younger players in a very negative way.
He said Price really wants to be loved. He's obsessed with checking social media and his mood is affected by negative posts.
Massoratti basically said that the Red Sox should move Price before his poor attitude dampens the mood in the clubhouse even further.

I'm really hoping that the Cardinals re-sign Lynn. The guy is a workhorse and I honestly don't expect Wainwright to be able to pitch every 5th day this season.

And if we are going to make a play for Stanton then that will require in losing one or more young arms that we have lined up in the system.

And I also hope we don't spend the money required to get either Holland or Davis. Re-sign Nicasio and let him be the closer.
