That makes sense. It'd bring him closer to Barry Bonds and i'm sure they could do more stuff together in-season as I believe Bonds lives in the area and has somewhat of a working relationship with the Giants these days.

He wants to push the Splash Hits into triple digits and take the lead Barry Bonds.

Yea and Austin Wood ended up in the minors. Can you imagine I had to pitch against those three to get a spot. Absolute bull****. Haha

Here are the thoughts I have about the how the Rockies assemble their roster for 2018:

Still up in the air what is done with Carlos Gonzalez and his 20m. Holland declined a player option so he's gone. One free agent I really like is Eric Hosmer. His market value according to spotrac is 15m.

Cargo is a great clubhouse leader but is on a decline. Other candidates are already rostered to take Holland's position. Mark Reynolds is a nice cheap option at first base, but Hosmer would be an upgrade there, but would it be worth it?

This is a team set to make more of a splash.

I look at those figures for market value on spotrac and some of it blows my mind. So according to them 36 year old Curtis Granderson is worth $12.5m? I wouldn't even entertain that and hopefully neither do the Dodgers. Jay Bruce at roughly $22m which is the same as Yu Darvish? I'm curious what formula they use to come up with these figures as some seem beyond ridiculous to me.

Obviously don't expect jays to get Stanton, though imagining him at Rogers Centre and al east.... 60hr potential.

But Gordon being another guy they want to move, I hope jays try getting him. .300 hitter and can steal 60 bases, that's exactly what the Jays need, and he plays a position they really need help at, has 4 years of control, and a good contract. Just sounds like a perfect fit.

It's the Marlins M.O. When Jeter and his group took over they said they would cut payroll. Really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

I saw someone posted that Stanton's preferred destination is SF, but Miami would have to pay down a huge portion of his contract and SF really doesn't have the prospects to give up. Highly doubt he ends up in SF, but stranger things have happened.

Yeah I don't see SF happening either, but hey anything is possible.

I still think its the Dodgers or BoSox

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Hey Edward Rogers, if you want people to forget about Jose Bautista than order Shapiro to acquire Stanton!....Okay fine, can we be in the hunt for Gordon at least? He'd be the perfect leadoff guy for a team that desperately needs one.

A's are letting teams know Ryon Healy is available. He had a pretty good year in Oakland. Would be a nice pick up for a team like KC who may lose one or both Eric Hosmer and Moose.

As much as I liked AA more than the guys who took over, outside of EE leaving (even then it wasn't fully their fault), can't blame management for much. Even Bautista going, minus clueless casuals, don't see how people can think he should stay. Far from a Delgado or EE situation here where jays let them go with good days still ahead.

Guess it's too much to expect the A's to actually keep a good player on their team.

                                God that franchise is insufferable.

The Marlins too, **** the Marlins.
