Dom Smith scratched from the Mets lineup today for discipline reasons. He showed up late.

Not a good way to impress a new manager.

Oh, I love baseball so much...just having it on again today and hearing the familiar voices of each team's announcers, the music for the commercial breaks, the sound of the pitch hitting the mitt, the bat hitting the ball, the chatter, the crowd, the green grass...just all of it makes a cold, wet, gray day here seem glorious. There is no better sport...welcome back, my old friend.

Thru 2 innings the Cardinals have left 6 men on base.

                    Midseason form!

                    Sorry, I had to.

I'm watching this game until the Cubs start in a little over an hour.

Edit: Wait....it seems like they've only left 2 on? Wong in the 1st, Voit in the second (and now Mercado in the 3rd just now)

I'm watching the GameDay cast, at least trying to, on MLB.com and it showed 6.

                      EDIT: I can't read......

Curtis Granderson making a great impression. His first AB was a HR

The Jays broadcast did a dugout interview with Grandy and DAMN, he's such a great well spoken guy. He would make for a great manager/coach if he wants to go in that direction or at the very least in broadcasting.

As for the Jays their pitching is looking really good today though it's only the first game of the spring. Biagini look quite good in his 2 innings. Can't really tell too much about anything else though I like that Randal Grichuk is choking up on the bat a bit as that should help with his strikeout issues.

Braves 1st rounder (2015) Kolby Allard made his debut just now...he struggled with command, but man, I think he's got the potential to be special. For a 20 year old, he wasn't just throwing up there...he was trying to work the ball in and out/up and down with multiple pitches. He doesn't throw hard (88-90), but he's a pitcher.
