They aren't even pitching to him...he's been 3-0 in 3 of his PA's tonight.

He's up with the bases loaded now...have to challenge him.

...and one pitch, got him out.

So I think Darryl Boston is gonna keep his whistle in the hotel room the rest of the series against Toronto. Earlier in the game the 3B made a nice throw to 1st to get Donaldson out and Boston blew the whistle. Donaldson in his next AB hits a HR and mocks Boston by whistling at him as he got to home plate. LOL

Anywho, not a bad game for the Jays though it seems they don't want to do anything offensively until the 5th inning or later. So far the pitching has been pretty good to start the year. The offense needs to be a little more consistent though.

So, Edwin Encarnacion with the inside the park home run. Gotta hustle Mr. Upton.

Welp...that sucked. Nationals are really, really good...but disappointed all around in how Atlanta played. Oh well, onto tomorrow.

At least you don't have to worry about Washington getting passed the Divisional Series.

You know there's something wrong when Edwin gets an inside the park HR.

It was a weird play. Sure Upton probably could've made the catch. But he might have thought it would be foul, and I couldn't tell but the broadcasters were saying the ball might have tipped off of a fan's glove.

So yeah, it was most likely a routine play. But there were factors lol.

Walgreens flat out stomped the Bravos today.

Also, I like the bat from this Preston Tucker kid; I hope it continues.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

We haven't exactly been facing "ace" pitchers either.
It's been really bad. If they're not homering, they're not scoring consistently. Same story, different chapter.

The strikeout record is off because of the extra game they played in Miami due to the extra inning games. I'm more worried that they're not making good contact in situations that need it. They got a little unlucky in the first few innings against Miami yesterday, but the fact that they've been shut out back to back games against no-names should be concerning.

Jose Urena, Caleb Smith, Odrisamer Despaigne, Dillon Peters, Tyler Mahle. Some real monsters. Yikes.

I wish this team could play up to its potential more consistently. Slow start last year was excusable after winning the WS. This year after a coaching overhaul, you kind of figure that's what Spring Training was supposed to be for. And we have so many streaky, all-or-nothing hitters. It can be epic when they're clicking, but it can be like this when they ain't. Hopefully Chili Davis is a match for these guys.

                        Long season though.

Simple, don't shift and they won't bunt on you.

I am waiting for players to start padding their stats and bunt until they stop shifting. The shifting is getting ridiculous. I'd really like a rule in place that mandates three players on one side of the field at any time (not including pitcher and catcher), even if that means the shortstop/center fielder is just left of middle.
I've always wondered this myself, baseball is an untimed game, it's never over

                            Dodgers/Diamondbacks in the 14th inning.

Dodgers score in the Top of the 15th but the Diamondbacks tie it up on a double scoring Lamb from first. Imagine that play not happening due to auto runners.

                                And the Diamondbacks win. Nice!
