I don't even care that we dealt Yoan and Kopech for Sale. We needed a legitimate ace.

Gabe Kapler doing Atlanta a favor...pulling Nola after 68 pitches and only 3 hits given up? Insane..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Aaron Nola pulled in the 6th inning after only 68 pitches. Really?

Re: Opening Weekend Discussion Thread
I know managers will quote the "3rd time through the order" stats...but you can't look at the average and apply it to every situation because it takes into account those times a guy was off, etc. Nola was DEALING...had command of every pitch. You won't convince me that pulling him was the right move."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Nola's curveball was ON POINT today.

...and the 5 man infield works for the Twins. The 6-2-3 inning ending DP extends the game."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

I actually wouldn't mind if they just put a guy on 2nd at this point. *steps into flame suit*
