Obviously, the Yankees are really good but my Jays might have the worst offense in the AL this year. Just three runs combined in two losses and 24 strikeouts.

I know it's just two games but we might be able to match our 1-9 start from last season.

If I did my math right that was 7 hits in these past two games. The lowest two game total to start a season in team history?

This could be a very LOOONG year but I harbored no illusions about this series. The best I was hoping for was a split. If this team starts off 2-11 out of the gate again then Gibby is gone.

Best thing going for the Jays this year is that with the Leafs and Raptors in the playoffs and TFC playing in CONCACAF, they're going to be flying way under the radar and there won't be any intense media/fan spotlight.

If you're a Yankees fan having trouble getting tickets to Yankee Stadium, you might want to think of a nice vacation to Toronto in July. There will be plenty of tickets available for that series and many others. LOL

You're right, i'm not giving up on this squad yet (we're only 2 games in) but they NEED to stay around .500 by the end of April or else any hope for a 2nd Wild Card is dashed. The folks on the Jays reddit are practically throwing themselves off the ledge like lemmings. It's a little comical.

I couldn't catch the game live yesterday so tonight is my opening day.

A's are celebrating 50 years in Oakland tonight. Have a ton of greats on hand tonight for the pre game celebration and the team is rocking the sweet Kelly Green throwback jerseys they'll be wearing every Friday home game.

As far as I'm concerned the season is in full swing. So glad baseball is back.
