It's strictly sarcasm...I've never said he's a bust (in fact, said otherwise).

It's gonna be one helluva story if Shohei can continue to rake AND pitch well.

If he hits and pitches well.. I don't know, that's just...something else. I'm not going to overreact but that's some Babe Ruth stuff right there.

The crap about him not even making the team, or that he would be sent to the minors and they weren’t sure when he would possibly be called up again, acting like he would never get a hit in the majors, that it’s impossible for him to hit and pitch, the remarks about his velocity being a question mark because it was in the 90-94 range in spring training. Plus a bunch of other things that were just very hot take like that I can’t remember verbatim. Plus there are definitely a lot of people rooting against him for no real reason other than him either not signing with their favorite team (Yankees fans [emoji849]) or because of the way American sports media hyped him as Japanese Babe Ruth.

          Exactly.

PS he went yard on Kluber a bit ago.

Ohtani might have to start hitting higher up in the lineup.

How long before he hits a day before a start? Maybe if it's a night-night. Definitely not a night-noon.

                Right?

I'm keeping an eye on the LAA game. If it goes much longer does anyone think Ohtani ends up on the mound? Apparently today is his throw day so hey, you never know right?

I wouldn't imagine so, he'd be done with his throwing day routine before he get's in the game, it's usually only about 30 pitches.

And the throw day isn't really supposed to be any sort of a stressful session.

Braves designated Chris Stewart for assignment (which I'm ok with)...so they only have one catcher on the active roster?

No...Suzuki is available. They have just been letting him rest his hand, but he could play if necessary.

You never know. The Cubs had chatwood up in the pen in that 17 inning game because it was his bullpen day. Sometimes guys wait to throw it late just in case.

I posted on Twitter. I’m not sure how long it’s going to last but right now it’s really fun being an Angels fan.

Ohtani is supposed to start on the mount on Sunday, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on tix. Hopefully he stays on schedule to start that day.

Brian Dozier, a noted expert in the unwritten rules, stole 2nd base in the 9th inning while his team was up 4 runs.
