I think his post was in the 9th. When Cards loaded the bases.

I guess snow outs aren't half bad when your division rivals are busy beating each other up in extras.

But would you rather have a break now or have to play a double header later in the season?

They're making the game up tomorrow. That funky off day pays dividends immediately.

Way to earn that $14M payday Holland.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I don't think this team is going to continue winning 2 out of every 3, but I think that's selling them a bit short. A few things like Tucker/Flaherty obviously won't continue, but the overall the offense should still be fine overall. There are enough other pieces to make the offense go, and both Tucker/Flaherty won't be starting at their positions in a few weeks. I don't expect to see a lot of 0's in the runs scored column last night.

Also, Teheran's performance last night wasn't all that surprising. He has been atrocious at home since Suntrust Park opened last year, but he's always been a solid road pitcher. Even during the worst season of his career last season he was still borderline dominant on the road.

This is probably a .500 team imo.

In response to the Cubs not playing yesterday and the Sox playing, the media is trying to fabricate a beef between the grounds crews. This was my personal favorite nugget in THE WORLDWIDE LEADER'S article with the White Sox's head groundskeeper giving a scouting report on his Cubs counterpart:

"They had more snow, so I get it," he said. "[Cubs head groundskeeper Justin Spillman] was using the watering procedure, too. He's a very knowledgeable, talented young groundskeeper. When you've got more than 2 inches of snow, when you're at that 3, 3½ level, they made the right call."
So, how much team control does Spillman have left? What kind of packages could we get for him in a trade?

Haha that is awesome! They were talking a little about it on Baseball Tonight Podcast but didn't go into details, just said it was strange. But the grounds crew giving opinion is great, I bet they loved getting interviewed.

There is finally baseball being played at Wrigley Field in 2018.

Wow, Schwarber going to a gaping opposite field to drive in a 2 out run!

It's freezing cold and the team is losing so makes sense. And most Cub fans only come out when the team reaches the playoffs. [emoji1](jk)
