The atmosphere in Atlanta tonight feels electric...standing room only, Acuna's home debut, and a 1st place team returning from a great road trip. I don't think a home Atlanta crowd has felt like this in a long time.

...unfortunately we have bad Foltynewicz tonight. He is overthrowing and has no idea where it's going.

Wow...he hasn't been this bad in a LONG time. Get him out of there.

Yep. 2 first inning runs wasted. Folty is the most frustrating pitcher in this staff

Funny thing is that when the Braves were winning division title after division title for, what, 14 years in a row (?) their fan base got the reputation as casual/blase/disinterested. Take that level of success away from them for a few years and it seems to have resulted in fans rebooting their level of interest.

Jason Heyward's bat continues to be awful. I wonder how many years the club will ride with him taking the regular RF role instead of having a major league-caliber hitter there? .226/.320/.357 ain't close to cutting it. Will there be a buyout down the line at some point? Maybe a bad contract for slightly less bad contract swap? His defense has been merely average this year rather than special so it hurts even more.

I can't wait for Angel Hernandez to screw up this series somehow.

Fortunately he's not behind the plate....yet.

I'm still amazed he hasn't tried going back to his 2010 stance/stride/hand position.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

not when his replacement has been worse with Ian Happ. if he could just be league average he would be fine because I'll trust the larger sample on his defense. He's basically had a carbon copy of last year where his 1st month has been positive with exit velocity but the results haven't been there.
