Mookie Betts is the first player this season to reach double digit homers (13) and SB (11).

    He's got eyes on 30/30.

Braves/Cubs rained out. The only off days they both have in common the rest of the season are August 30th and September 13th. If they do August 30th, that will take away the Cubs only off day in a 3.5 week stretch, meaning they play 23 straight games. That would be rough in August!

It makes sense...you kind of have to take the first date in case that one is rained out and you need the 2nd one.

Remember when they started a week early to give more off days?

Yeah that's working out great. Tons of off days so far

Talk about a couple of bad ABs for the Angels. First, Laz Diaz punches Mike Trout out on some high sliders. Then Justin Upton gets hit in the wrist with the hard stuff. Judging by his reaction and how quickly they subbed him out, you figure Upton might have a broken wrist.

Matt Chapman interview on MLB Tonight was really fun to watch.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I'm tracking Christian Villanueva since I have him on my fantasy team, who has not performed so well as of late. So I decided to check his game logs. It turns out he was batting a season-high .355 when leaving due to a minor injury (I forget what), missing three straight games starting April 22nd. Then he returned to the lineup a few games later, and fast-forward to May 12th he was hitting as low as .226 (right now he's at .234, not much higher).

Then there is someone like Brandon Crawford who is on the flip side of that coin, leaving April batting .190 and now hitting .291. He's like that Hansel: he's so hot right now.

Anyway, my fantasy team ended up going 0-fer yesterday, save three Mookie-cookies and his bag-swiping trinity. Granted, there was the rainout in ATL and several other players had the day off, but it was one of those days where I wish I just benched everyone but Betts heh. Just wasn't going to be my day, I guess. Let's hope today brings me better luck.

To continue the rhyme scheme, looks like we're facing a bit of a Trout drought. In fact, he was topped out at .336 a couple of weeks ago, but ever since I diminished that 524-foot bomb he seems to have taken personal offense to it and has really been struggling ever since, down at .290 now. No matter, he is still on pace to have the greatest season in MLB history by WAR alone (currently tracked to get to 14.2 by the end of the year).
