The Cubs need to string something together and soon. Playing .500 ball this deep into the season is a huge fail for this roster. Not hitting (Contreras and Russell have a combined 1 HR in 233 PA; Bryzzo with 8 HRs--all solo; Happ's bat is clearly made of swiss cheese). One turn through the rotation is ok, the next is total trash. Morrow is invincible then he's walking the leadoff batter and blowing it. Heyward makes a great play then this great Gold Glover is coughing up runs and losing balls in the lights/sun. Darvish and Quintana have both been brutal. This team reminds me of that whack-a-mole game where once you think you have one problem solved, 2 more pop up.

Really been a frustrating team to watch because performance has been nowhere near expectations.

I've watched less baseball this season because of this team. Just tired of watching them whiff in pivotal situations offensively, and walk guys on the mound. Watching starters consistently throwing 100 pitches through 5 innings is boring af

The Phillies scored 3 runs off Jeff Samardzija in the 1st inning and made him throw 40 pitches. Nice work.

Hmm....somehow I don't think the flu is the only thing wrong with Darvish. Going on the 10 day DL regardless.

Ben Zobrist defensive exhibition at Wrigley today.

That was the first non-solo homer by either Bryant or Rizzo this season.
