Re: 5/21 - 6/3 Game Discussion Thread
Ohtani.... This guy is absurd. Just threw the fastest pitch for a starter this year 101.2 mph.
I wish he would have chosen the Yankees but it is pretty cool seeing him with Trout. That team should sell out every game those two are on the field.
And MLB needs to market the hell out of them.

You can harp on the bullpen all you want, but scoring 1 run isn't going to cut it more often than not. Maybe the guys should have had BP today and not taken the day off from it.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

CB, I thought I read somewhere that the last inning or 2 he pitched, his velocity went down and they don't know why.
Also, no scheduled starts in the near future.
Are you hearing the same?Comment

He said he felt fatigue in his arm that he didn’t experience in his rehab starts so they pulled him for precautionary reasons.
He is scheduled to have a MRI I think when they return to St.Louis. They are going to monitor how his arm responds in the next few days.

Yesterday Ronny Rodriguez of the Toledo Mudhens hit for the cycle in route to a 5 for 5 day that included 2 homeruns. Yesterday evening after their game, the Tigers added him to the 40 man roster.

Tough break for the kid. I know he's been quite successful vs the Cubs.Cardinals general manager Michael Girsch said Thursday it was a "significant" strain.
"It is not going to be a couple starts," Girsch said. "It's going to be more than a few starts. We don't have all the information yet so we don't know beyond that how long it's going to be. But it is not a minor injury and we're gathering more information."Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Cubs pick up win #30. Nothing really to complain about as a Cub fan. Quintana with a solid outing, some hits with RISP, and Baez even drew himself a walk.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
