Dodgers sweep the Rockies and are looking much better these days considering all the injuries they've had. Showing signs of life which is nice to see.

I think he was. It looked like Bruce had a WTF? look on his face when Guillorme took the ball. I assume Bruce called for it, but I can't be sure. Regardless, if the RF makes that play nobody's tagging up on it.

Atlanta is going up against them next series...with the Dodgers being really hot (12-4 I believe their last 16 games?) and Atlanta's bats not doing well, I'm worried how this series is going to go.

Either way, it should be good baseball to watch. At least Atlanta plays SD next to catch up a few wins.

Jake Arrieta is not pleased with the Phillies' performance so far in June. Probably not making too many friends in the clubhouse either...poor guy got used to having the Cubs' defense behind him. Not every defense is as good.

Jake Arrieta said the Phillies have no shortage of things to improve on after losing their sixth game of eight and being swept by the Giants.

Yeah I mean i'm not sure blaming their shift is a good way to win friends in there. From what i've heard and the highlights I saw it's not THAT bad the way he's making it out to be.

He also called out Scott Kingery by name for something else. Usually not the correct route to take criticizing everyone but your own performance. Especially if you're new to the team and also the highest-paid player. That's leadership with a lower case l. Might as well have been blasting Don Henley's Dirty Laundry (great song, btw) while doing the interview.

He blamed Kingery for not making a throw to second base. Kingery threw to first on a tough play and the batter was safe. Kingery is also playing out of position at SS. He's not terrible there but his defense is stronger at second base.

Arrieta also failed to mention he gave up 8 hits and 5 runs. Can't blame anyone else for throwing a meatball to McCutchen for a 3-run bomb.

That's baseball, Jake. **** happens man.

I prefer Carrie Underwood's version. Not the song though, just the video. With the sound off.

Aaron Judge went 0-9 with 8 K's in the double header today. OUCH!

Padres are 17-14 since the end of April.

Yup...I get it. Braves still shouldn't get their brains beat in like this. I didn't expect them to sweep and was hoping for 2 out of 3, but this is ugly.

Well, the Braves shouldn't be in 1st place either, but here we are. lol. It will be interesting to see how much of their start (and Philly's start) is sustainable. Also, the Astros aren't sustainable (obligatory comment).

Doesn't shock me that we got reamed in San Diego. That place is a house of horrors for us.
