Any day you can get out of LA beating them when Kershaw started out on the mound is a good day. Quite the gift that first fun was. Highly surprised LA didn't challenge it.

A creative way for the Pirates to loose that one. Vasquez/Rivero isn't healthy and Hurdle mismanaged that.

        Kershaw has back tightness.

Smh. I think this guy's done.

Cardiac Cards do it again! 5 runs in the bottom of the 9th to beat the Pirates!!!!

            It's official. Hanley officially released.

            Hopefully somebody picks him up.

That seems like such a Mets move...

I remember the offseason before last and I was watching a segment on MLB-N with an injury analytics guy and he was saying how Kershaw's workload combined with his funky mechanics are just asking for a breakdown of his body and arm/back injuries.

Sadly, this is proving to be true and he basically said this would happen over the course of the next couple years so it's pretty much right on schedule with his prediction.

Hopefully this is a mid-career injury/adjustment period for Kershaw a la Verlander rather than something worse.

Tyler Chatwood really knows how to milk every second out of an inning. His pace/rhythm is terrible. Good catch Almora to bail him out.

I still think he should've been called for a balk on just about every pitch he's ever thrown. But I digress.

I hope he's not done although the "injury prone" label is certainly starting to apply to him.

I've seen just about enough of Tyler Chatwood over these last 3 starts.

Move over Dave Hansen. Tommy La Stella has been stupid good as a pinch hitter. For my money, he's the best the Cubs have had.

Cubs with another W after beating up on NYM's bullpen. Brewers currently losing to the South Siders; all in all a good day.
