    Everything Soriano has said is that he prefers to not play the OF. I would think Texas would trade him before they forced him to CF.

        Rangers G.M. John Hart has said he has no intention of trading Soriano. Soriano is not going to DH and Jose Valentin is not that good of a hitter to be a DH.
        Hart must have something in mind.

          Rangers G.M. John Hart has said he has no intention of trading Soriano. Soriano is not going to DH and Jose Valentin is not that good of a hitter to be a DH.
          Hart must have something in mind.

            Jose Valentin has 25 career games in the OF, with 24 of them coming in CF.


            Also, I have read several articles regarding Soriano's name being mentioned in trade talks. One in particular had him being shopped to the Mets.

                No kidding? I guess his shoulder injury was bad enough the Rangers decided to give up on him.

                I think if they sign valentin, they must be going to trade soriano...there is no way he moves to CF, that guy still believes he's a top notch 2nd baseman.
