The Phillies seriously just lost the game with Vince Velasquez pinch running at second base as the tying run because he left second early on a tag. This is a complete joke now.

You absolutely cannot lose a ball game this way under any circumstances. And I love how Tom McCarthy was trying to make excuses for Velasquez being a pitcher in a running situation. I'm sorry....but did he not play Little League and learn this when he was 10 years old?

Feel like I watched 2 games at the same time: Another gem pitched by a potential Cy Young winner and a comedy of errors including letting one of the slowest guys on the other team steal 3rd base leading to an insurance run.

The nerve of David Bote to settle for a game tying sac fly off deGrom there. Why not the 3-run homer, Bote? Geez.

I thought it was gone off the bat. Even his sac flies are better than everyone else's

If the Phillies make the playoffs by some miracle I will be shocked. By the time we get to those 7 games against the Braves to end the season we'll probably not be close enough anymore anyhow. I've never seen such abysmal catching and throwing from catchers on one team in my life. Alfaro and Knapp are horrendous.

Degrom is just unfair. Glad Cubs got the 1 run and it can be a battle of the bullpens. DeGrom has been so good he's got a outside shot of NL MVP. He would actually get my vote.

What a wild, great night of baseball thus far.

Yankees with a game tying HR in the 8th and then a walkoff in the 9th.

Loser garbage franchise Marlins go up and blow a lead then the Red Sox do the same then walk it off

Braves take the lead, then blow it. Then go ahead with 2 HRs and then finally nail it down in a shaky 9th.

Nationals Phillies was nuts with the late Rendon HR and then obviously the finish with Velazquez.

Mets and Cubs in a rain delay in the 10th.

And now the A's just took the lead against Houston in the bottom of the 9th in the most important game of the day.

Whoever says baseball is boring is an abject moron.

Alfaro and Knapp are horrendous.

Defensively, Alfaro was fine, it seemed until they signed Ramos. It's like it shook him up to throw accurately any longer.

I wonder if something like this has happened before:
-A game gets suspended in the bottom half of an inning(9th or later), and when it gets played out at a later date, the first pitch ends up being a walkoff

peak cubs to beat Syndergaard and Degrom but lose to freaking Vargas. but still overall you will take those results.
