Nice to see the Cubs whooping the Phillies in Philly. And it's always nice to hear the 'let's go Cubbies!' chant in an enemy ballpark.

I like how getting Murphy and getting Bryant back sort of 'slump-proofs' this lineup against all the young, free swingers.

I also like that Lester has come back from the dead to post 4 good starts in a row.

Not bad. Javy also got his 100th RBI. He's always gonna have those goofy swings and misses, but I'll take .300/.331/.582 with 30 HR 100 RBI 21 SB from the SS. No need to twist my arm either.

and despite Rizzo #s are going to look like his usual he struggled the 1st couple months and with no Bryant or Bryant playing through an injury Baez really carried the offense without that they're probably fighting for a WC spot right now. amazing season.

Ronald Acuna gets pitched in high and tight on pitch #1.

                    Pitch #2? Launched 430 feet.

He's something man. As a Yankee fan it's still not hard to be in awe of him.

Bases loaded tie game, bottom of the 9th with no outs and Jose Martinez swings at 5 straight pitches out of the zone including a fastball bouncing in the dirt

We lose 6-3 in 10 innings

As hot as the Cardinals have been, today's extra inning loss coupled with Cub and Brewer wins has them ever so slightly in 3rd place again. Still a really striking turnaround under Shildt. All 3 teams would make the playoffs if the season ended today.

I just hope we’re not as cold in September as we were hot in August

I don't think I've ever seen Archie Bradley do something good.

                                **** outta here.
