    Re: 8/27 - 9/9 Game Discussion Thread

More runs please. I don't feel safe at all.

Meanwhile, Harper 2 run HR puts the Nationals ahead. Ugh. I want that team dead and buried. It's only September 8.

And the Yankees are hanging on by a thread. Up 2 but Seattle's got the bases loaded and 1 out in the bottom of the 9th. EDIT: Sealed the deal. Good! Well, maybe not since I'd rather have the Mariners than the A's. Don't think that's happening though.

Dansby kills off the game with something reminiscent of Andrelton Simmons. An UNBELIEVABLE play to rob a base hit and make a play at the plate to end the game. Wow.

              Here's that Dansby play.

Still in awe. The range was unbelievable.

As a Braves fan you have to be accustomed to bad/shaky bullpens Okay i'll admit the bullpens weren't necessarily BAD during the glory years. It was a combination of bad bullpen management (hello, Bobby Cox!) and some years not exactly having the strongest back end of the rotation ever. Still it seems the Braves have had an issue with bullpens to one degree or another. I'm sure AA will focus on getting some quality arms over the offseason. However don't expect the biggest names in the world if AA sticks to his MO as he likes to go dumpster diving for reclamation/bounceback season type guys.

Correction, 2.5 games behind the Cubs.

Cubs/Nats delayed again. That makes 3 days in a row with at least a delay

Massively delayed. Was supposed to be a 12:30 central start.

They're gonna wait as long as possible to call this one since it's the last game between them.

Edit: It's been postponed, makeup on September 13th - I assume that's a mutual off day.

The Rays are 32-8 at home since June 11th. Pretty good.

Milwaukee wins to get within 2 of the now-idle Cubs.

Unfortunately the A's refuse to lose so it's not doing much. They seem to keep making comebacks, it's like no one told them the Rays are planning the greatest underdog story of all time. Very inconsiderate of them tbh

Madison is such a bum. Glad the Brewers handled that situation exactly how it was supposed to.
