Ozzie Albies...ridiculous range saves another run.

A bizarre play starts off game 3 between the Cubs and Brewers - Granderson hits a ball that bounces TWICE on the rim of the outfield basket, without being touched by a fan, before falling back into play. Initial call was a homerun, crew challenged and reversed. Grandy to third as that's where he stopped as the Cubs got the ball back into the infield.

Rendered mostly irrelevant as Cain triples two batters later to drive him in.

100 freaking wins for the first time since 1946.

I love this team so much. We're probably gonna lose to the Astros, but it's been a hell of a year.

I'll never understand how the Cubs offense can be so inconsistent. They have to have the most times held to 1 run or fewer out of any team to lead their league in runs scored.

A's go with the opener strategy and give up 1 hit. Offense scores 10 runs in one inning!

                  Yankees lose.

                  WC lead to 1.

                  Dang Astros keep winning.

Haderaide struck out the side again for 9k's and 10 batters faced.

Grandy was the offensive hero with 3 hits, including the above mentioned triple, HR and single.

Nice September pick-up and only 1 game out.

Brewers pitching staff held the Cubs to 5 runs over 3 games, not bad for that lineup they have.

Nice to have the Braves have some wins without too much bull**** involved.

Cubs go to Washington for 1 game (lol) and I bet it'll get rained out, too. Then back to Chicago and off to Arizona before getting that first day off in a month. The nice thing is the Cubs will camp out in Chicago for the final 10 games of the regular season. Hopefully can regain all this ground being given up due to lackluster hitting and bullpenning.

Good thing they started a week early to get all those extra off days.

Interesting (at least to me) stat line:

Matt Kemp, who made the ASG this year, essentially has the same number of PA's this year as he had in Atlanta last year. His stat lines are nearly IDENTICAL, with the exception of hitting into half as many DP's.

                              2017: 467 PA, 276/318/463, 19 HR, 23 2B, 64 RBI, 27 BB, 99 K, 24 GIDP
                              2018: 473 PA, 282/334/466, 19 HR, 22 2B, 76 RBI, 36 BB, 108 K, 12 GIDP

It's funny how perspective works; last year he was considered an awful player, this year he makes an ASG and is a key to the Dodgers playoff run. Also, somehow he posted a -1.6 BBWar last year while posting a 0.9 BBWar this year.

Strop leaving with an injury while batting is just what the Cubs need. Maybe Caratini or La Stella will get some save opportunities.

At least the Cubs won, the Brewers are idle, and the Cardinals are losing to the Dodgers.
