In my Red Sox franchise last year, I played every game of the season and had to play Game 163 against Toronto due to my crappy September.

I started David Price and threw my first ever Perfect Game to win the AL East. Then went on to sweep Toronto in the DS, beat Cleveland in 7, then beat the Dodgers in 7.

Hopefully something cool happens tomorrow in real life.

I hope the Dodgers and Rockies play a 25-inning game that completely depletes their pitching staffs and takes until next week for them to recover.

If it was Bug Selig he'd call the game a tie after 12 and introduce a new incentive of winning the ASG in the form of the winning team (home or road) determine who advances in a tie in game 163.

Hope they get the game in at Wrigley. I'm about an hour northwest and it's raining pretty steady and thunderstorms forecast for early evening.

I know they will try to get the game in at all cost.

One thing I'm curious to see in both of these games, is how aggressive are the teams with their pitching staffs/bullpens given, that even if they lose they are still in playoffs, albeit a one game playoff for wildcard.

Games needed to be in primetime.

That would only work if the first game is at 6 so that the 2nd game would theoretically start at 9 so even then it's not PERFECT. Still, I somewhat agree with your premise there.

I was watching MLB Network yesterday and even if there was only one "Game 163" it would've started at 4 which doesn't make much sense as they could definitely put it in a prime time window. I also think some of it has to do with tV contracts. I believe both games are on ESPN and well, MNF is tonight.

The league is probably kicking themselves for not scheduling the WC games reverse. They probably would have had at least one in prime time if they had the travel day.

The NL Wild Card game is also tomorrow. Not really fair to put one team playing at 8 pm ET the day before, then possibly having to travel and play tomorrow night.
