    well..

I'm optimistic regarding Moriss.... He has something to prove, and that is why I think he signed a 1 year deal. I say he was so inconsistent because of his shoulder problems. He just had surgery to fix the issue... Hopefully he gains some velocity and pitches like he did a couple of years ago.

it all comes down to how healthy they are....if the Reds would have been healthy the last 2-3 years they would have had some pretty decent teams. They were in the running last year through June till the injury bug hit.....Kearns, Casey,Wilson, and Jr. all going down for some time. This year with the addition of Milton and Ortiz and some good relievers added like Weber and Weathers....they should definately be a better club....too bad the Cards picked up Mulder otherwise this Milton signing could have put the Reds in a more serious contention for the division.....but there is always some underdog team that makes a run.... the '99 Reds are an example

The is a very good sign of Linder finally releasing the purse strings a little....the problem with the Reds has ALWAYS been starting pitching. The lineup is very good, I thought they were trying to play Kearns at third? Well either way, their outfield with Pena stepping up is very good...they could trade either Kearns or Jr to get a good #1 or #2 pitcher, I think Jr should change his number the #30 just isn't doing him justice and I think it may be a jinx. With Pena is Center, Dunn in Left and Junior in Right, with Kearns rotating off the bench until he learns to play third, would make the Reds have one of the best lineups in the NL.

The Kearns at third thing ended when the Reds signed Randa.
