3/28 - 4/14 Game Discussion Thread
It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.

I’ll be attending my first Yankee opening day ever tomorrow, sitting in the right field bleachers, 3rd row.
I am beyond excited. Weather looks good here in the Boogie Down Bronx for tomorrow, a very nice change of pace from last year.

Can't wait for Opening Day! The Jays should at least get off to a decent start with a series against Detroit. Jack Morris will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Nothing like Opening Day in baseball.
Matrix, that was beautiful man.
Cardinals get the Brewers to start the season. I know there are 159 more games to follow, but big series here. Take 2 out of 3 or sweep and it sets a tone for the rest of the season.
Go Cards!I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Jays season should be interesting. Lowest expectations have been in ages. No Donaldson, Bautista, Halladay. 3 all stars the team has revolved around for almost 20 years. Before that it was the post WS teardown days.
With expectations so low, only 1 way to go from here right?
First time they're embracing analytics in this capacity too(Gibbons was an old school gut feeling guy), so definitely should be an interesting year. Youth and analytics.Comment

Opening the season against Baltimore which means thanks to the blackout rules I can't watch the majority of the game [emoji854]Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

While it's definitely 21st century baseball and thinking finally making its way to Toronto there's still some old school. According to Montoyo the Jays will have and USE a bunt sign this year. In all the years that Gibby managed this team I think I only saw the bunt sign a handful of times.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Yup...I took today off to watch all the games; was going to have both of these 1 PM games going at the same time, and I'm blacked out from both due to being in the O's/Nats viewing area. This has got to STOP. Black out rules are so archaic..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do.
