    Happy Birthday Hateraide.

I don't care if Arcia bats his weight, love his D.

Hasn't even occurred to me. I've watched every pitch of this game.

Really? There was an AB in the 2nd where he literally took 3 minutes between pitches as he didn't like what the catcher offered a couple of times, turned round to look the runner back to second twice and generally just stood around on the mound for a while. It's painful

I'm not going to say "I was fine with it," but I was not sitting there wishing that a pitch clock was in place either.

I have no problem with the game putting in a pitch clock with nobody on. I'd rather they silently dealt with the issue with fines instead of charging a ball/strike or whatever, without a big timer on the scoreboard or something... but it's not the worst rule idea. I'm just sick of them trying to speed up the pace of the game to something that's unnatural to the sport, that's all.

Every time I see that automatic walk, it's just another kick in the balls.

Yeah I really don't get the walk one, it's not like it took any time, nor did anyone dislike watching the pitcher hilariously struggle to throw balls. But getting the pitchers to act like they actually have some interest in finishing the game at some point is a plan I can on board with. Genuinely think it would only affect like 1% of pitchers anyway, a bit like the "stop taking the piss" rules on mound visits.

Always ****ing Kevin Pillar! Thought we'd finally seen the back of him when Toronto traded him, but of course we go and play 3 against his new NL team and he's back to chasing down and catching everything. Hate that guy

Sure feels like it. Mets set a Citi Field record the other day. Dodgers hit 8 on opening day. Brewers set a record against the Cubs on Friday.

Not that I dislike homers, but I feel we don't really need to continue using this juiced ball to get a good number of them.

Juiced ball isn't settling well with me really. It's making players hit balls that never should have been hit before. Players are making Bonds' homers look like nothing.

So I was looking at the Red/Pirates incident, and I don't know, did Dietrich really needed to admire that homer? What are you, 5? Like, in the top of the 2nd inning? Maybe a walk off or late in the game, but in the 2nd?

                                Just run the bases son.
