I don't know about a hit, but if it were fastballs only I could make contact.

I think y'all are underestimating how hard it is to hit 90+ if you haven't seen it in the last month

Also, never thought I'd see the day where Jason Heyward was the Cubs best hitter for a stretch of more than a couple games

Sad to me that we'd probably consider this one of Darvish's best starts as a Cub. He got into the 6th inning and didn't walk anybody. Cubs are still gonna lose, but progress?

And never fear, because we've got ourselves a Tyler Chatwood sighting warming up to come into the game!

Oof. The Nationals are really Philly's daddy tonight.

And nice to see Chris Davis getting into the ballgame once again today so he can keep his streak going.

Aside from Taillon's unfortunate outing, Pirates pitching has actually been pretty solid.

Cubs have to consider getting Keuchel or Kimbrel...

I think the chance of that happening is pretty much nil

The tide has already turned, the Brewers are playing like crap currently and swept by the Halo's.

Everyone on their pitching staff is fair game, but Hader before trade deadline. lol

The Brewers aren't who we thought they were.

Yes. Zach Eflin is the Phillies ace. This is the plan. Actually happy for the guy as saw some of this last season.

If Nola can get his **** together and Kapler can stop shuffling the bullpen as much as the Flyers shuffle goalies, maybe they can live up to expectations this season. If not .... gonna be a lot of questions in September. Lots of "ifs".

So I was watching a bit of the Yankees/Astros game last night and I dunno what the hell has happened to James Paxton. Maybe it was just that game (though the numbers indicate otherwise) but he just looked I dunno, not very confident. There just wasn't any fire or emotion to how he pitched. Bad things would happen and he just shrugged and carried on.

Compared to what I saw when he threw the no-hitter against the Jays last year he was like a shell of his former self. I remember hearing somewhere during Spring Training this year from Sonny Gray that the Yanks made him throw his slider too often. I have to wonder if they're trying to rework/rewire Paxton in a similar way and it's just not working at all AGAIN.

Time will tell and I will be keeping tabs on Big Maple.

                            Buehler?

                            Buehler?

Walker Buehler takes Wacha deep for his first career HR.

And Harrison Bader does Harrison Bader things, scoring from 2nd on a wild pitch as the wheels have kind of come off for Buehler.

So I'm watching Chris Davis bat, and there is an infield shift against him. Why doesn't he just bunt? The man needs an average.

Meanwhile, Khris Davis is on the other side and has mashed his eighth and ninth home runs of the year already in this ballgame.

It's getting to the point where I'm not sure homers against Baltimore should count towards your major league total. They're giving up about 6 a game, it's pretty embarrassing. Yet somehow these bums are second in the AL East. Baseball is weird
