I was reading an SI article about Davis and they asked him that question. Apparently he tried a few times last year and was out each time. I guess he said "**** it" to bunting.

It really wouldn't help him anyway. Sure it might break this streak, but he wants to be a proper player again and you're not going to be that by getting a scabby bunt single. He's taking better swings and is honestly just getting incredibly unlucky at this point, he just needs one of his hard hit balls to go through a hole and he'll feel a lot better. I really don't think a bunt single would make him feel any better at all.

          8-7!!!

Still only the 5th inning though.

          Matt Wieters stole a base.

The Reds allowed one run in their 3 game series with the Marlins.

The last time they achieved that at home was against the Dodgers...in 1926.

It’s still early to say if they’re really a good team or not but how about those Mariners? They’re 13-2. Excellent start so far. I hope they keep it up! Surprised they’re not brought up as much in here.

Mainly because as i'm sure you know, we've seen similar stuff from the M's. They play great baseball for half the year and then reality smacks them in the face and Godgers wants to trade everyone on the roster! It's hard to see how this prolific offense can sustain itself all year long. If it dries up than their weaknesses (horrible horrible defense and a weak bullpen) will manifest and they'll fall back to earth.

You also need to take into account that they're beating up on a Red Sox squad that is clearly out of sorts and the sisters of the poor (the AL Central) I'm very curious to see how they do against the Astros.

Also we're going to get Seager back sometime probably in June, he will help the defense out a lot with the added upgrade to the lineup. Also, I think Santana, and Vogelbach are going to continue their offensive output. Saying that, I'll be shocked if we are in it by years end, our pitching just has too many question marks, and we wont score 6+ every game

Kris Bryant has so little confidence in his bat right now that he just tried to drag bunt in the 6th inning of a scoreless game with a runner on base...
