Johnny Venters was a nice story....but maybe time to retire. He does his customary lead off walk and then gives up a BOMB to Peter Alonso.

I kinda like this Victor Caratini that can hit. Did he get body-snatched like Heyward was?

Man...sure glad we paid $23M for Donaldson. He's been awful at the plate so far.

This home plate ump went all psycho in that 8th inning in the Mets/Braves game. Throws out Snit and called Culberson and Camargo out on pitches well out of the zone.

Most of his contact has been pretty solid, but pretty disappointing to this point.

The strike zone in this game has been interesting. I haven't watched much when Atlanta is pitching so I don't know if it's been going both ways, but there have been a lot of pitches well outside of the strike zone called strikes.

edit - at least it seems to be both ways based on the bottom of the 8th.

edit 2 - nvm just a variable strike zone overall.

Pirate shortstops have what, 7-8 errors this year already? Wasting good pitching.

Red Sox can take this game. Toronto won the most important game vs Boston tonight.

According to statcast, Rowdy Tellez has broke a Ted Williams record.

Longest HR in Fenway history!? Allegedly. People are debating it.

Even Dan and Buck were very doubtful of it and Buck outright said that he thinks they miscalculated the distance.

Anywho, for a rebuilding club like the Jays are this is the kind of loss I can live with. It was an exciting and enjoyable game even if we were on the losing end of it. The only thing I really have to say is.....

Nah, Rowdy Tellez ain't gettin' that record. This is the one time I'll accept Blzer disputing a distance.

His swing hasn't really been a problem until he hurt his shoulder last year. I wonder if it has something to do with that
