I missed this at first...didn't mean to imply anything about the Twins, but more so how quickly the Mariners have imploded. I think they went from a +50 run differential to a negative one in the span of a week.

I guess I don't understand this Mickey Callaway stuff.

Not sure why there's all this "smoke" about him. The team is struggling but he's a second year manager, his team is 20-24 in a division with middling teams, and he's been buttsexed with injuries up and down his team during his short time there.

I don't get it. Is it a scapegoat thing? A chemistry thing? An ego thing?

I mean I would love to have him be the Braves pitching coach. It's clear our approach isn't working. Fried and Soroka are pretty in control but hardly anyone else.

Okay, I definitely did not see Kyle Schwarber in the leadoff spot vs Strasburg coming. You got me there, Maddon.

Riley goes yard again...he has exceeded my expectations so far. Every time I watched him against good pitching he struggled (AFL and Spring Training), but so far he's had no problems.

Joe Girardi is a little too hyper for my taste when doing color commentary. I like him better in the MLB-N studio.

Maddon going in on Doolittle for his toe-tap delivery (the same thing Edwards was told he couldn't do early in the year). Might be some gamesmanship in a 3 run game, too.

Doesn't appear to be helping the Cubs much as far as this game is concerned. 1-2-3 9th and a Nats win.

Luke Jackson getting some unfortunate luck as the Brewers get two very lucky bounces to go their way in the 9th.

Freddie ends that **** real quick after the garbage top of the 9th by the Brewers. Glad we didn't get screwed out of that one with such terrible luck there.

Happy Sean Newcomb is looking more comfortable when coming out of the pen.

In other news, Mike Trout hit his 250th HR. 473 feet supposedly. Not sure about the distance but the ball was murdered.

Amazing how the Mariners choose to keep being bad simply by starting Felix Hernandez, Wade LeBlanc, Erik Swanson, and Mike Leake 80% of the time.

                                Mike Trout with #250.

At the exact same age, Ichiro had 156 total hits.
