      If he chooses to stay in Houston to be happy, I wont fault the guy. It would actually be commendable for a guy to choose based on happiness over money. It would suck for me as a Met fan, but I wouldn't blame him. Basically, I dont want him going to the Yanks.

        If he chooses to stay in Houston to be happy, I wont fault the guy. It would actually be commendable for a guy to choose based on happiness over money. It would suck for me as a Met fan, but I wouldn't blame him. Basically, I dont want him going to the Yanks.

          I've heard that he would prefer to stay in Houston also, but the thing is, if he goes to Houston, would they be able to afford other talent, so that they can win... There's a concern that it might be another A-Rod situation, like the Rangers. Dump all your money into one guy, and hamstring yourself from being able to pay other talent.

                  but i would not be mad if he went back to Houston - i mean he would be going back not really for the money, but for the comfort level for him & his family.. that would make him one of the rare athletes that bases decisions less on money..
