That division is so weird. You have the Cubs and Reds sitting around .500 despite excellent run differentials and then you have the Pirates with the same record and an awful run differential. Going to be interesting to see who pulls away from the pack in the 2nd half...I used to think the Cubs were the best team in that division, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Brewers pull away from the pack.

Not on pace for it, but does anyone think he could actually get to 60? Maybe even beat the non * HR record?

They've only been in 3rd place less than 24 hours. Not all season. But if it makes you feel better about the Braves then have at it.

I personally don't think he's gone if they miss the playoffs. Aside from Aaron Nola, their starting pitching has been very suspect at best.

This series against the Braves stung, especially yesterday, but if they can acquire a starter, or get the other 4 arms in the rotation to be better in the 2nd half, I think they close the gap and make it a competitive, and entertaining, 2 team race with the Braves to the end of the season.

if Bellinger plays most of the rest of the year like he has the last couple weeks, he'll get 60. personally I believe he'll wind up somewhere between 50-55

completely unexpected in philly. but not around the rest of the league. probably the only way Kapler doesn't start off 2020 in philly is if Bryce doesn't want him there. and I'm not aware thats going on there. still, I expect Gabe will be the first fired come this time next July.

I still think the Cardinals have a shot at rising up and taking this division if they can find consistent pitching and get Carp and Goldy to hit more in line with their career averages.

I guess you don't remember at the beginning of the year when I said the Phillies weren't improved enough. I know I'm not alone in my expectations for the Phillies. I think more people would be surprised to see them win the division that not. But continue getting defensive and thinking everything I'm saying is only because I'm a Braves fan even though I've said since the beginning the Braves would probably repeat just because no team improved enough to win the division.

Braves cancelled the fireworks show after the game saying the delay was so long they had to follow noise limit legislation. When the game started back up they still blew off fireworks for every strikeout and I'm pretty sure they let off fireworks when McCann hit the walk-off.

Last night, the Twins broke the record for most home runs before the All-Star Break at 162.

Previous record of 161 was set...last year by the Yankees.

Albies is usually a good base runner, but that was some poor base running in the 8th and cost the Braves the tying run.

That game just had the feeling that it wasn’t the Braves’ day. A guy thrown out at the plate, Albies poor base running, Donaldson DP, Riley hits a game winning homer that goes foul. Just one of those days...

At least 9-2 vs the Marlins is a lot better than being 6-7 against them.
