Giolito with by far the best pitching performance against the Twins this season last night. Complete game 3-hit/0 walks shutout. Tip your cap and move on. Only the 3rd time this season the Twins have been shut out.

Cleveland lost later, so that made it a bit better.

Royals and Sox finished their suspended game today.

It took 12 minutes for Brock Holt to walk it off.

finally Joe Pushed a starter and used Kintzler and especially Ryan really effectively. Cubs would have 5 or so more wins if Joe Did that. Wick is the Cubs 2nd best reliever behind Kimbrel and given how Cishek looks lately they need to operate under that belief. Wick is really good and not good because Cubs needed bullpen arms he's legit good.

Does anyone think of Starlin Castro as a HOF player? I just realized he’s only 29 and has over 1500 career hits. If he plays until he’s 40, he could potentially reach 3,000 hits (he’d only need to average 140 hits or so a year to do it).

                    The Orioles have done it!

They've given up 259 (now 260) home runs this year, setting the all-time record, besting the 2016 Reds who gave up 258.

The Orioles still have 34 games to play this year...

It's that time of the year. This weekend is Jays vs Mariners from Seattle, Canada.

No matter where Jays are in standings, this has been a fun series simply because of the fans. And for most of these Jays fans, this is their first time seeing Vlad and Bo and others live, so they'll be really hyped.

I hate MLB scheduling for a weekend east vs west game. Saturday at 9pm EST? Couldn't they have just had a 4pm local, 7pm EST game even?

This week the Rangers had 3 by Wednesday. The Mets had like 2 in a row also.

And by my count, 7 of those were from home runs.

Including that stretch in June where they went 3 consecutive nights getting a walk-off home run by 3 different rookies.

Which, of course, is why baseball is best.

These player's weekend jerseys are even uglier than I thought they would be

Looks like I'm watching a Diamond Dynasty game with two teams who didn't do anything to their uniforms

Can barely read the nicknames on the white ones too
