For the 5th time this season (and once again involving either the Dodgers or Yankees), both teams exchanged lead-off home runs last night.

Not to mention Contreras. Missing KB and Baez though.

Uh oh. Looks like it'll be one of those nights for Jon Lester.

Lester wriggles off the first inning hook to a nice crowd pop after the strikeout.

Hmmm...Zobrist is back and the Cubs are hitting situationally. Go figure.

Huge last two days...Mets taking down the Nats while Braves sweep Blue Jays to our Braves at 7.5 games up ahead of this brutal 14 game stretch with Nats/Phillies.

Lots of Braves fans here...I think it's time to admit AA was right about Donaldson over Comargo.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Right now, we're closer to the Dodgers than the Nats in the standings.

Hope it stays that way after this week.

The Nats just won't go away. Who'd have thought the Mets would blow a 10-4 lead keeping the Nats at 6.5 back instead of 7.5

Both teams are 17-4 in their last 21

Seattle is just so sloppy. Bad base running. Bad defense. Bad pitching.

Nice to see Dan Vogelbach finally getting his chance to hit at Wrigley Field though.

Mets Mets Mets Mets Mets. SMH.

I don't want to be the #1 seed anyway. Would rather play the Cardinals than the winner of Nationals/Cubs. If the Nationals play the Dodgers that'd be good.

He's what they've been missing. Even his 1st game back his eye is so good. I really hope they abandon the only 2 starts a week thing. The Price is going up but I dunno they don't extend Castellanos now even if it goes to a uncomfortable number.

and Schwarber has been on fire in the 2nd half.

Freaking Mets...I went to bed as the bottom of the 9th started and they had a 10-4 lead. I chalked up a Braves 7.5 game lead; what an epic choke job.
