Wright is a switch-hitter, but he has more power hitting RH.

Both players have seen their power zapped. But considering Mientkiewicz is 6 years younger and a better defensive player, I would rather have Mientkiewicz.

Both players have seen their power zapped. But considering Mientkiewicz is 6 years younger and a better defensive player, I would rather have Mientkiewicz.

Anyway, Menky would fit in perfectly if we don't get Delgado. He's the type of role player I'd like for the Mets to acquire, considering they now need to surround their stars with players who are consistent and can get the job done on both sides of the ball...

Minaya was on Imus (Radio/Show on MSNBC) today, and he totally surprised me, as I had never seen him before.

He doesn't seem like a GM to me, in that he is very normal, has a sense of humor, and seems like a "average Juan" instead of some high society suit.

I'm a big fan of Carlos Beltran and am thinking of "following" him to the Mets.. And after seeing Omar's interview today, he seems like a really fun, normal, but wealthy guy, and I like that.

It's still amazing to me that he is a GM, based strictly off looks. Usually GMs are wearing suits, have this "high society" aura, and in general are unapproachable. Granted, my viewpoint is probably flawed, but Omar is like the total opposite of what I pictured a GM being like, and I think that's awesome.
