Shawn Green: Dismisses No Trade Clause

It's about time. I guess he's on his way to Arizona?

Guess he's fed up with LA...I thought he wanted to be in LA, thats what i heard a couple of weeks ago. I really dont know what the Dodgers are doing But i guess Giants fans should be happy. Depodesta seems like he really wants to build the team to win now (with the addidtion of Kent and Lowe and the Blockbuster Trade last year) but it seems liek he really wants to build for the future (trading green) what is Paul doing really?

Probably got tired of the LA media ragging on him during tough times.

LA didn't want to give him an extension. Arizona was willing to pay him a nice extension. That made his mind up. Money is a powerful thing.

Hmm, maybe the D-Backs might finish ahead of the Rockies this year, if they're lucky.

Re: Shawn Green: Dismisses No Trade Clause

The two main reasons the Dodgers wanted to trade Green so badley are-1) he was to be a free agent after this season and they had no intention of re-signing him, and they did not want lose him and get nothing in return. And 2) (for some odd reason) Paul Depodesta LOVES Hee Seop Choi, and wants to see him play every day, and to do so meant they had to trade Green. Depodesta believes Choi will be "a big time power hitter if he just gets the chance".

I say expect to see a lot of Olemedo Saenz at 1B, Choi can't hit lefties and can barley hit righties.
