Sammy Sosa is a selfish pile of crap who has never won a thing. I care about winning titles not 3rd place dissappointments.
So, you know all the facts but everyone else just has opinions? What position do you hold with the Cubs organization that allowed you into the locker room to see everything happen first hand? You don't. Get over yourself and chill out.

Ya the truth is the Cubs realised a video tape showing him leaving and I have heard numerous Cubs on radio shows saying he owes them apology. Also have heard beat writers that cover the team on a daily basis report things too that damn Sammy's credability. I guess they were lying though huh. That is my factual information. I dont like when people challenge me on something they know nothing about. I follow the team and media reports. Others that dont follow the team just think he's a good person cause he hits homeruns. Please. Get your knowledge straight before you attack me and please get overyourself too buddy.

Hes (Poster) right. There is probably a lot of stuff that gets covered locally that doesnt make national news. For example, there was an interview by the Score last year where the interviewer asked him about not moving down in the batting order and Sosa referred to himself as a gladiator/warrior. The game where Sosa finally asked to move down was in Milwaukee. I know someone who was in right field that game. They were on him mercilessly and when Sosa hit a HR he was like, "see, I told you so. take that", but then he struck out in every atbat after that and the rightfield bleachers ratched up the jeering several notches. And as most know after the game he asked to be moved down. Like it or not, someone in that geographical area has greater exposure to things that happen.

Don't tell me to get my knowledge straight when I haven't tried to prove anything here. Show me where I tried to disprove you. Oh good, you can't. I was just making the point of how I found it funny that everything you're saying is fact while anyone who disagrees with you is just stating an opinion according to you. But then again you must have some facts about the roids right? Please continue.......

What it comes down to for me is that if the Mets don't get Delgado, they will consider Sosa and a lower-tiered first baseman.

However, if they get Delgado, then I gather they won't be able to also get Sosa at the pricetag he carries.

I'm not here to get into pissing matches but you honestly believe he is not on roids. Look at the Sox pictures and look at 1999 and tell me thats natural. I have no proof but I have a brain and now that its come out that Bonds did it how can you think Sammy didnt do it. Pud Selig protects him because he knows the great roid, I mean home run race of 1998 was steroid driven. It brought back fans so he turned his back on it. Remember Manny Alexander. He was Corkys friend and got caught with a car full of needles. Coincidence? Maybe.

I orignally responded to someone calling me a hypocrite because I dont back him. What you or anyone that is not a CUbs fan has to understand is that things have changed. We now have pitching and are more than Sammy. THe only year I enjoyed the home runs was 1998 when they were winning. I backed him when he batted 300 and always walked and had a high on base percentage. The last couple of years he has drastically declined in those areas and strikes out even more. The reason..because he tries too hard to pad his stats and is selfish. That is why I hate him.

Bottom line is this. You can overlook the corked bat, you can overlook the fact the if I had a dollar for everytime he came up with runners in scoring position and less than 2 outs and he swung as hard as he could so he could pad his stats I would be filthy rich, but I will never ever forgive a player for quitting on his team and his fans. He quit on me when he left Wrigly that day on frickin FAN APPRECIATION DAY. So f*** him. Now I QUIT ON HIM!

Here's the thing: If you look at his stats before 1998, they were ALL like last year. 94, 95, 96, 97... they were all just like 2004. And he was all bulked up back then, so it didn't have anything to do with muscle.

He changed his stance and his approach at the plate in 1998 and became much more patient, and you saw what happened.

Then last year, he went back to coiling the bat over his head Julio Franco-style and started swinging at everything again. And his numbers went right back to where they were before 1998.

                              Why? Who knows.
