The Rockies are offering the Mets Preston Wilson for Mike Cameron, and the Mets are saying no. I think the Mets are freakin Dumb, take the deal, I love Preston Wilson, the Mets could also get rid of there cry baby player. Do it Mets.

Preston makes a TON of money, but isn't his deal over after this year?

Looks like the Mets shot down the offer. Good more IMO. Wilson is coming off surgery and is still very iffy, plus you never know what kind of production he will put up away from Coors Field.

Karlos, so has Cameron (regarding recent surgery).

I would do this. You think Omar may have asked for Jeff Francis? Well, back to more reality......... Wison will give you more power numbers than Cameron even though Mike hit 30 hrs. He's had that tag since being a Met prospect before being traded for Piazza. If Chacon can be part of this deal and they'll take on the salary hike, I would do this.

I know Cameron just came off wrist surgery but recent reports say he is way ahead of schedule and should be ready for Opening Day. Plus in general I'm a little less worried about Cameron wrist than Wilson's bulky knee.

It's not really a great trade for either team but given the chance I would rather stick it out with Cameron.

Actually, financially speaking it is a great trade for the Rockies. Wilson is owed $12 million and Cameron is owed $14 million on their current contracts, the difference being that Cameron is owed his $14 mil over the next two seasons while Wilson is owed all his money this season, the trade would free up $5 mil. from the Rockies payroll this season.

The Rockies will likely have to wait and see with Wilson, if his knee is healthy and he puts up big numbers i have no doubt that come the end of july he will be playing somewhere else.
