The Rockies will likely have to wait and see with Wilson, if his knee is healthy and he puts up big numbers i have no doubt that come the end of july he will be playing somewhere else.
My apologies, I did not realize that Wilson only had a year left. That would be a great trade for them if they could pull it off. If he only does have one year left then he should be gone by July. If he proves his knee is decent some condending team should step up and get him.

        Smart move by the Mets.

Cameron is a much better center fielder and Wilson bats like .250 away from Coors.

I think it's a good idea to turn it down, even though as most people here seem to be misunderstanding, Wilson would not the the CF in NY, he would be a COF, which would give his knees a break. However, look at Wilson's numbersand take off a few for leaving Coors. Look at King Cammy's numbers and add on a few for coming to Coors. Wilson would be in the .230-.250 range with between 20-25 jacks, and Cammy would be in the .260-.280 range with between 30-35 jacks. The Rockies would get the better deal, and the Mets would get the shaft again. For once the Mets are using their brains in an offseason, and I have to say it's refreshing. It's just too bad theRockies have nobody else to bargain with really, and Wilson outside of Coors would be a potential nightmare.

I don't know if I would go as far as saying "Potential Nightmate", I mean the guy did bat .260 in Florida for four years, and belted an average of 25 HRs over those four years.

If I'm the Mets, I trade Cliff Floyd for Farnsworth, and then trade Cameron for Eric Byrnes. Play Brynes in LF. Then sign Magglio to play RF.

The projected stats of Byrnes, Beltran and Maggs probably isn't any different than Floyd, Beltran and Cameron. And Magglio's knee is a huge question mark, there is a reason he hasn't gotten a 4 year 50 million contract already.
