Nomar named as steroid user by Canseco

Nomar Garciaparra will be outed as a steroids user in Jose Canseco's book, a source told Boston Dirt Dogs.
Claims made my Canseco should hardly be taken as fact, but they are being treated as news. Here's one more name to add to the list. Feb. 10 - 9:04 pm et

This guy's 15 minutes were up years ago.

And sadly, they involved, a ball, his head, and a homerun.

He used to be a good player for the A's. Now he's a joke and a disrepect to the game and all it represents.

I hate to bring up that SI cover with Nomar showing off his new chest, but the guy got jacked up pretty quick. I for one would never judge my former shortstop on Canseco's word alone, but the sad thing is we'll probably never know if Nomar did use steroids. If Sheffield can dodge the spotlight by claiming he didn't know he was juicing, everyone can just point to Giambi and take cover. He looked HORRIBLE today BTW, made me feel bad for the guy especially since his cancer was probably caused by the illegal substance.

I was debating buying it because it seems like I'd be supporting his cause, but I will definitely be buying it Monday.

Nomar's physique is somewhat legendary. It's always of course been attributed an intense workout regiment.

I remember a few years ago he was on the cover of SI shirtless. And I've seen some fitness articles on him as well. You wouldn't necessarily think of him as a 'roid user, being a shortstop. But he is really built, and has like 0% body fat.

Of the names mentioned, Nomar's name does not come as a shock to me. Still, it's Canseco doing the accusing, so I'll give him (and the others) the benefit of the doubt. For now.
