4-6 with 3 RBI's including a game tying double in extra innings in game 2 against the Twins didn't matter?

Without Arod, chances are, the Yankees would have been done in the first round.

I was more referring to BEFORE he was in a Yankees uniform.

The guy asked for reasons why I didnt want him on the Sox.

Sox fans are however extremely hard on their team and it's just a sign of our attachment and our passion for baseball. Personally, I think the Yankee fans that call WEEI recycling the 26 championships argument or the ones in the bleachers of Fenway who start trouble are just as bad...but they don't represent what I saw at Yankee Stadium.
yeah sorry for judging you guys too harshly, but so many people in my school wanted the red sox to win, and i don't really see to many yankees fans so i dont' know what they are really like, and i don't really trust many people on internet sites because you don't know who is telling the truth or not.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

I like the trash talking, because it makes me think the teams hate each other and it gives the games a little more personality than they normally would have. Trot, as a parent who is a player, found Arod's comments offensive. He has the right to respond in that way if he so chooses and whenever and whatever Arod says in return will be justifiable as well.

Anyone else hear the Red Sox are going to move their ring ceremony to a later date so as not to coincide with Yankees being in town? Originally, the plan was to give out rings and unveil the new banner on opening day at Fenway but of course, the Yankees are in town that day. Ownership has now decided to move the day of the ring presentations to another game in a sign of good sportsmanship. I can respect that, though as a Red Sox fan, I won't lie I would have derived satisfaction from seeing the Red Sox players receive their rings while the Yankees look on (and of course the camera would zoom in on the faces of Arod and Jeter while it took place to see their reactions). The drama of the moment would have been most entertaining.

I look at the Globe as the Boston equivalent of the New York Daily News. Tabloid papers with nothing but junk to print. Sometimes (or most of the time) when they run out of junk to print, they just make it up.

Now, hopefully, my comment wasn't taken too strongly. I once lived in near Boston for six years (four years at school) and really respect the Red Sox and their fans (except the stupid ones. And hey, everyone has stupid fans).

I wanted to point out that Trot Nixon is better than average as a player. He's actually a good player. But, somebody already pointed it out.

The comment about ARod having never done anything in the playoffs, however, just had to be shut closed.
Actually, New York Times owns the Boston Globe for your information. Globe is actually decent when compared to the Herald which is a tabloid. The GLobe has highly regarded writers in the past...Peter Gammons, Will McDonough, Bob Ryan, Micheal Smith (ESPN now), Bud Collins, etc....Please check your facts first.
