Brinson DFA for marlins he has turned out to be a bust

I would think now Wendle will probably play 1st and can move around everywhere and Aguilar will DH assuming the DH rule is in

BRAVES BRING BACK … Guillermo Heredia and Orlando Arcia. Just what us Braves fans have been waiting for.

Richard Rodriguez and Johan Camargo were both non-tendered by Atlanta.

Mariners showing interest in Story, he would play 3B for them.

I fear 1st half Freddie becoming a normal, like what happened to Pujols.

I love Freddie but...Braves should pay for future performance, not prior.

                        Braves non tender Rich Rodriguez.

Pretty shocked by this. Traded bryse Wilson for him at the deadline and he has had a pretty solid career. He also doesn't walk people which I appreciated even when he was a pirate, and he has a history of solid performance

Is he a casualty of analytics (low strikeout rate) or was there something else there?

He had bad peripherals to begin with and then had a 6.75 ERA over his last 10 appearances. We didn't re-sign Greene last offseason because of his bad peripherals and then he was terrible when we did bring him back in-season. I think they view Rodriguez in a similar light.

Writing was on the wall when he didn't appear at the parade.

I can't view him and Greene in the same situation. Greene never had the kind of success that Richard did not consistently anyway, he was expensive, and according to analytics his best seasons were only a little better than Rodriguez's career average. Rodriguez was under team control, has a history of success, and it's just odd to write him off for 10 bad appearances when he was money in most of the other 54 games he pitched in 2021 and most of of prior seasons as well.

Admittedly I'm a fan of guys who actually pitch and not just throw in modern baseball, but by any measure he has been a solid pitcher u less you focus on small sample sizes. This just seems odd unless there was a personality clash.
