Meanwhile, the Red Sox just signed the first player in their organization to be born AFTER the 2004 World Series.

We're now at the "I'm getting old" phase where kids being signed or drafted weren't even alive when MVP Baseball 2005 was released!

Are there any current players that could play with eventual sons? That's when I'll feel old.

I missed out on the Griffeys.

You’ll know you’re getting old when while watching a game they show a players mom in the stands and you’re like “man, she’s hot!”.

          Yeah I’m getting old.

For me it’s remembering players that are younger than me made their mlb debut…and then also seeing them retire

                I know, beautiful right?

It’s crazy when I think how I idolized my favourite athletes when I was a kid and now all my favourite athletes are young enough to be my kids.

                  Fransisco Liriano retires.

Probably best known for his time in Minnesota or Pittsburgh, but I still can't believe the Jays pulled off the moves they did.

They got Liriano and 2 others for Drew Hutchinson.

Liriano was one of the guys who really helped them in their 2016 playoff push. They later flipped him to Houston for some guy named Teoscar Hernandez.

I read that too quick and thought it said Francisco Lindor retired

I mean legally he isn't an active MLB player right now, is he?

                          Here's some interesting/weird/funny news.

Dante Bichette is the dad of Bo Bichette.

Bo is a player on the Jays.

Dante got hired due to Bo being on the Jays (and Dante hanging around/helping guys out).

Due to the lockout, Dante, Bos dad, can't work with Bo as that would technically count as team related activities.

So Dante stepped down from his position with the Jays which will allow him to legally work with Bo.

Now the question is, what's stopping the Jays from hiring him back as soon as the lockout ends?

I would guess nothing would stop them from hiring him again?

Juan Soto turned down 13 years for $350 million before the lockout. He would have definitely been leaving money on they table if he signed it but it would be tough for me to turn down a guaranteed $350 million at 23 years old

                                Not much, but its something.

Jays were looking at Castillo,Gray,Mahle on the Reds before the lockout. Mahle seemed to be the main one they were interested in.

Dont know if that interest was before getting Gausman, but can you imagine a rotation with Berrios,Gausman,Manoah,Ryu and one of those guys from the Reds. Based on 2021 number, Ryu would be considered the "worst" of the group.
