How was this possible. Did the Padres trick them into showing stats from May when Hosmer was overachieving?

I saw that too, but that was without Wood in the deal.

Every team in the NL should get ready for next year lol. No one has a chance against the Dodgers or Padres. So much for parity.

          Nationals:
          McKenzie Gore
          CJ Abrams
          Robert Hassell III
          James Wood
          Jarlin Susana
          Eric Hosmer

          Padres:
          Juan Soto
          Josh Bell

Biggest trade deadline deal ever? Maybe.

Its baseball, you just never know.

The Cardinals wouldn't give up their farm. What if all those guys are up and as advertised?

Look at the Braves last year. Drowning, until they overhauled their outfield.

Oh, this is big. The Nationals are one of the 10 teams on Hosmer's No Trade Clause.

Sure...anything can happen, but since June 1st the defending champions have the best record in baseball at 38-14 and they aren't even in 1st place right now. The NL is far from settled, even with this trade.

He's going to have to agree with something. Can you imagine SD fans getting word that the trade can't happen because of him and that's why the Dodgers came in and finalized a deal?

                      Very interesting indeed!

In the meantime all I'll take JD Martinez from the Sox and 2 relief pitching Eppler! Make it happen and add to a 2 time Cy Young pitching today

Looks like the deal is done without Hosmer.

I like to think that during discussion about waiving the no trade clause, A.J. Preller tells Eric Hosmer to "take one for the team and waive the no trade clause"
