Awesome hire, glad they didn’t go with a first time manager.

Managers aren't part of the Union so that make sense.

Regarding the hire, did he apologized for the Britton Game? Did he stated that he was wrong, learned his lesson and is willing to incorporated analytics thoroughly and faithfully like Dusty Baker did?

Jays sign Gosuke Katoh to a minor league deal with a ST invite.

He's put up good numbers in AAA. Perhaps he just needs that shot in the bigs to prove himself? Could be a nice backup IF option though.

He seems to be having fun with his signing too.

Starting to sound like after everything opens back up, that the Red Sox will be the frontrunner for the next Japanese superstar Seiya Suzuki.

Former top 5 prospect Travis Snider has announced his retirement.

One of the numerous examples of how prospects are called prospects for a reason, and why rankings don't mean much.

In 2009 he was a top 5 prospect in baseball. As a 20 year old he got to play just under 30 games in the bigs and hit .300 with an OPS over .800.

Jays were banking on guys like him and the guys they'd get in the Halladay deal to be the future of their team. None of them ever panned out.

IFA begins today. Hopefully the last IFA period we see (new CBA might turn this period into a draft instead).

Yankees sign the top ranked IFA for 3.5m.

Nats appeared to have given out the most money for a guy at 4.9m.

Definitely needs to be a IFA draft instead. And I'd have it the same as a regular draft where the money guys get would be tied to where they're drafted as well, and if a guy declines, he can't reenter for 2 years, and that team gets a compensation pick next year.
