Man that was a fun extra innings full of action in the Bronx. Too bad it was fake, and not real. Now I’m just bummed I watched illegitimate baseball.

Even though the dumb extra runner **** came into play. I will say that's big for Josh Donaldson. You wanna start off right on a new team or it can really wear on you to get a big hit.

What better way then a walkoff single in your debut with the Yankees. Gets the monkey off the back immediately.

Sure it's a win on opening day against the Red Sox. I would be lying if I didn't. But it's not legitimate.

That runner on second wasn't earned. That's just the truth. Now you could make the counter argument it's fair for both teams. But it just feels dirty. I feel dirty about the win.

And statistically the guy on second gets a cheap run added to his stats. But all he did was get placed on second base. I hate it. I absolutely loathe it.

That yankees Boston game was entertaining!! boston really know how to get to Cole early too did that in wild card and in the opener only this time the yankess got some offence

once again though the extra innings rule can go to hell that spoiled the end. it was just fake runs to see who got unlucky first. and in the end Donaldson got it.

I would even concede that if they did the runner on second rule after the 13th inning. I would accept it. But to go to it the minute extra innings start is way too premature. Let them go extras for 3 or 4 innings and if neither team can't score then fine.

I’m never gonna accept the rule

I know people will say “ both teams have the same rules”.

I want to know the stats of the home trek walking it off more I think they are more of a chance here. If you can just get lucky and stop
One team at home, and get a lucky hit blooper or bunt then sac fly you a easy win and if you have a fast “ghost runner” even more lucky.

Tigers win on a walk off dropped fly at the wall, that was caught on the second attempt, but it hit the wall, so after review it wasn't a catch and the runner on 3rd scored to win, not sure I've seen that before

Just saw the highlights. That's a wild way to win. Nice start to Baez's career in Motown.

Dunno why they are saying it hit the wall, it hit his glove which was against the wall. Or am I missing something here ?? Was it because his glove was against the wall?

Random underrated part of Rogers Centre changes, since they're in a dome, they added some coloured lights. It could come into play for home runs, and will be used for pregame and other stuff. Gives it an arena like feel.

Weird seeing an award ceremony for a player formerly on your team in your own home opener, facing that guy on his new team.

Vlad and Hernandez accepting their silver slugger award with Semien joining to accept his too, and his gold glove.

This Apple+ MLB Deal is so ridiculous. To make matters worse, it appears the broadcast isn’t even in 60fps on my Shield. Gross.

Game hasn’t even started and I’ve already got two calls from my parents trying to get me to walk them through getting the game to play on Apple TV
